J.R.R. Tolkein said,
"Even in all the years of studying hobbits, they always seemed to surprise you. No matter what you think, they just might do something unexpected next."

Her neck is a bit too long, and her face looks flat. I think it's the eyes and the chin, which make the face seem really flat. And save your images as better quality JPEG's next time. The blur doesn't really help

Its better to be positive than negative. Throw in a compliment. Put the good with the bad. If you only point out the bad, then nothing good can be seen.

If I don't like something, I'm not going to lie about it and compliment, so the artist will feel good about it. Instead, I give pointers on what I think is wrong, so the artist can look at it and perhaps improve on it.

I don't want to push this issue a lot, but before I slide the topic back into place I shall say this. I"m not saying you should lie and say its perfect. I"m saying you should point out what's good and tell them to keep it up. I have no eye for art, but I do know that nothing is perfect and that I can't draw. So, in my eyes, this art is very good. However, nothing is perfect so there are flaws that though I can not point out, are still present.
Point being: Don't be too critical, but don't be lazy if you know what you're talking about. If you know your art, look at it and show the illustrator what is right and what is wrong. Everything in moderation.

Thanks seeing as I'm trying to get back into drawing I need some critique to get me back on track. As for the blur, Photoshop got screwy on me and lost the original psd, then when I went to finnish the colouring on the original jpeg and resaved it, the quality was lost.
Lizz.edit: that and photobucket is a bitch and de-qualities things when it downsizes.

I have a lot I want to say about that art.
Like: the shadowing, details to clothing, details on Link's hair and eyes, and the thought of the forest, fire and water stones for each peice of the triforce
Dislike: you can't see much of the fire piece of the triforce and there needs to be a different background behind the triforce. Maybe just a different color or something...
