Brawl has just been released in North America and that means there will likely be more people on Zf with it. Though European users are yet to get Brawl, I'm guessing a few may have either snagged a US or JP copy somehow. Also, with the activity the Poke' Tourney has raised, why not have (if not just SET-UP) a Brawl tournament.

Also, you can just share your Friend Codes here as well just in case anyone feels like a quick Brawl and he/she doesn't want to be in the tourney, or there isn't one going on.

Truth be told I'd be surprised if 3 people on this website already own Brawl, or will for the coming month . Nintendo seems to be slow with everything these days... I'm in when I get the game though!

Quick Wifi question, even if you haven't unlocked a certain character, are they still playable (by your opponents) in a match?

I'm going to say yes, because, even though you haven't unlocked the character, it's still technically on your disk, and thus your game will be able to use it, even though you can't.

Then I'll find the three I can't get the first time through. And the was a typo.

Was already mentioned by Sakurai on the Dojo, but yes, your opponents are able to use secret characters you don't have yet.

But I know who they all are because my background is the brawl full roster.

I'm going to unlock every character before I play SSE. Before Piet says anything, yes, it's possible.

Yes, I know that, but I don't see the point in it, as you unlock ALMOST everyone in SSE itself. You're just giving yourself extra work.
What I was saying earlier in this topic is that you cannot unlock EVERYONE in SSE, which is what Siras was saying.

In truth, after you beat it, you can go back to get Toon Link, Wolf, and Jiggelypuff.

Siras is right about being able to go back, but the other methods are faster and less troublesome, IMO.

Amen to that! Lucas is probably one of the most deceptive characters on the roster this time around. His PK Thunder and upward smash are deadly!

He's not as terribly good as he was in Melee (his nerfed range is mostly to blame for that, I think) but it didn't take me long to get used to his new feel. He's similar to his Melee counterpart in some regards, but he requires a bit different playing style.

I've also used Ike some, contemplated using him as my main, but I ended up choosing Marth.

EDIT: Also, Siras, I think both of us have to connect and be online for the registration to go through. I'll get on soon and see.

I like Luigi, simply because I like his final smash. Ever since my friends saw what it did to other people they started calling Luigi the drug dealer. His odd behavior only solidified that position.

OK, it seems like we're setting up for something.

I would like to propose and idea for one of the first organized clashes. Perhaps a party v. party team battle?

I like it how you guys are organizing this! Good way to bring the Zf community together. I changed the subtitle of the topic, if any of you were wondering. If I had a Wii, I'd join in... But alas.

Team battle sounds cool. We could also add a 1v1 tournament too. Obviously, different members will probably playing at different times, so we'll have to figure out when to hold the matches. I could volunteer to help organize it.

I won't be online for a bit. My Wii took a fall this weekend, and my Brawl disc is scratched. I'm hoping it's just the disc that's broken, though.
Anyway, I won't be online on Brawl for atleast a week.

I would join this battle of epic proportions if I could play Brawl on a screen bigger than 7.5in. x 5.5in. screen. If this is slated for later than a month or so from now, I might have a better connection. No Wi-Fi code yet.

I'm gonna wait for the European release but then I will definitely join in. Is Ganondorf the same as in Melee? If not I'll probably suck badly (at least in the beginning).

He's a bit different, not exactly sure how much because I rarely play as him. Besides, you don't unlock him until VERY late in the game.

You can unlock him by beating classic mode with Link. He is a bit different. If you do his side B in mid air and hit somebody, he grabs them and then tosses them down. If you're on the ground while you do it, he grabs whom ever you're hitting chokes them and then throws them down.
