On the other hand, Termina's a cool place to have.

Wow! I was wondering as to how the map would turn out. It is impressive except for one thing: Link found Termina by the Lost Woods, so I would assume he went south. Since there isn't any more to support my theory, though, the world is a job-well-done!

I thought that too! Except I thought maybe it was that the Lost Woods was connected to the Deku Palace in a way, but I haven't played much of Majora's Mask. But Soro does have a logical spot, the ocean connected to a Zora's place.

Yes, and my other guess was that the sea was to the west. I think it was because my brain always interprets Lake Hylia as an ocean.

Why can't that be the case =P There can well be more Great Deku Trees in the world! Open mind mate, open mind. This is really the most logical solution. The ocean obviously had to go west of Termina, and meh, why not east of Hyrule. And does everyone remember the ocean that was opened up after the defeat of Oxya?

Is that where you got the idea to have Termina and Hyrule linked by an ocean?

Question!
1. How did Link travel from the Lost Woods to Clock Town?
2. The river in Hyrule is supposed to be fresh water because it goes in Hyrule Town and gives the people water to drink. But, if water is coming in from the ocean, the water in the river is salt water too! (unless the great farie at the Jubu-Jabu place is turning the water from salt to fresh....)

1. He fell through a hole in a tree, kinda like how Jack fell through the Christmas Town Portal. He ended up in a strange cave and managed to get out, only to find himself exit a clock tower in the middle of Clock Town! There was no way back. Obviously we can't do that in this RPG, because we can't connect the worlds. They're in different dimensions. Thus we decided to just screw the original lore on that part.
2. Well... um... anyone can see there HAS to be lots of water behind those gates at Zora's Fountain. Where else would the water come from? I guess the people of Hyrule Castle must either filter it or use magic! I reckon they were able to seperate salt from the water back in medieval times.

A.) Where do the Tokays and Sub.s live?
B.) It could always be just a giant lake.

It could indeed be a giant lake.
And please, we took everything in consideration. Don't try to prove us wrong. We're not going to change things anyway.

Feb 5 2006, 08:31 PM
Argh! Too many questions! But...Soro, didn't Link stumble through the dimension just by walking through the Lost Woods. It looks like he was in the Lost Woods still when the Skull Kid attack. He chased him into a cave place, like you said, and wound up in Clock Tower. But didn't he start in the Lost Woods?

Feb 5 2006, 08:40 PM
Hmmm...let me get back to you on that.
Well, I admit that I can't quite prove it yet....BUT!!! I keep seeing on the Zelda official site stuff like this:
QUOTE
The term "Skull Kid" refers to any of the young imps who inhabit the Lost Woods. Legend has it that any non-Kokiri soul who enters the Lost Woods is transformed into a Skull Kid. One Skull Kid has become much more famous than the rest by stealing Majora's Mask and leading Link on a treacherous adventure through the troubled land of Termina.
But, you're right, it says nothing about the Lost Woods. But since I'm me, I'll just assume that he was in the Lost Woods.

Feb 6 2006, 12:54 AM
I guess we all assumed that because there were faries flying about.
And when I saw fairies, I thought about the Losts Woods or Kokiri Forest.
But this map makes a lot of sence too!
