That's not the drawing skills of a 5 year old, maybe a 10 year old. While it is a bit on the emo side, it has good color design and good positioning of the character in a knelling stance holding his sword. This is great work and if you continue to practice, you'll get better. I recommend looking at comic books and other character art work to help with drawing your characters in different positions. What I mean is take a picture of a character in, say, a comic book and first examine the drawing then try to draw that character or yours in the same pose. Also remember that if you want to draw characters in dynamic poses, to use your shapes (such as circles, triangles, & etc.) and your forms (such as spheres, cones, & etc.) along with perspective to sketch out the basic layout. Once done with that start putting in the details and finish it off. There are, obviously other steps inbetween the ones I mentioned, but I think that if you researched it some, you'll do great. Remember to practice, practice, practice. Have fun drawing.
