This is all relating to the recent altering of the Twilight Princess release date as stated in our previous news article.

I have found more news on the release date of Twilight Princess on the LiveJournal community Zelda_lovers:

Firstly, someone said this:

"Well, by now we all know that the much-rumored "April" release date was just some B.S. made up by various store chains and was never confirmed with Nintendo.

Today, IGN reported that people who made pre-orders/reservations for Twilight Princess at some chains are starting to get e-mails saying that the game has been pushed back to "November 2006."

Is this a date they got from Nintendo? Is this just another date they've made up, because April obviously isn't going to happen? I dunno. But as IGN pointed out, that's most likely going to be the release month for the Revolution, and there are plenty of rumors that Twilight Princess will offer some kind of special added controller functionality for people who choose to play it on the new system with the new controller. Maybe this is a way of tying in with the Revolution release, while still giving GameCube-lovers one last big bang?"

Obviously, this is right. All we need to know now, is when it will be released.

Next one:

"Okay, so every once in a while we get people still saying, "yay, Zelda is coming out in April! hurrah!"

No, it's not. We still don't know exactly when it will be coming out, but it's not going to be April. Nintendo would have said something by now.
In fact, it could even be in November, which could be after Revolution is launched.

Here's your first link. *cough* No pun intended.

And here's what Matt, from IGN, has to say:
"You've got a wait ahead of you. Twilight Princess isn't coming in the first half of 2006, as you might have already guessed. But worse, some people who pre-ordered the game have received e-mails informing them of a November 2006 ship date. Whether or not this will ultimately happen is still up in the air - it'd be highly suspect of Nintendo to release both the new Zelda and Revolution in the same month. Then again, if the game really uses the innovative new controller on Revolution - and it probably does - perhaps the Big N is positioning the game's release as a means to sell its new platform while still satisfying GameCube owners."

So, it's starting to add up. Just saying... we've got a wait ahead of us. I'm sure we'll get a solid date at E3, but don't expect to be playing Zelda anytime before that."

Yeap. Once again, Matt says it all.

To clarify all this, someone who had pre-ordered the game via Best Buy showed us the recently sent e-mail:

"Best Buy Corrects Zelda Email
2/14/2006, 2:43pm Eastern Time

Best Buy has changed its mind regarding the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

The retailer sent out an email to those who had preordered the GameCube game earlier this week saying that the title's release had been pushed back until November 2006, lighting several fires under Zelda fans.

Now, the company has sent a correction email to those same users, saying that the game is still on track for an April release. This would seem to defy those rumors which speculated the title would ship alongside Revolution for its projected Fall 2006 launch."

Wanna know what this means?
We don't know anything about the release date.

WHY would all these store chains make all this up? You'd have thought the Big N would've released some sort of statement when they first got wind of this rumor, like they did with the Twilight-Revo extra feature ordeal.

I mean just if it's true that Twilight won't see gamer use until Nov'er.
