Full Version: The mysterious belt-pouch of doom
Zeldafront RPG Stone > Tael, Tatl & Navi > Tael
Raeden
I noticed that a lot of characters have this mystical belt-pouch as their item-storage-item ( ninja.gif ).
First: Be a little more creative than that.
Seccond: A belt pouch is not infinite in size. How would you hold 20 dekunuts, all your rupees, a piece of rope and other random stuff in that pouch? Even if dekunuts and other zelda-esque items are a tenth of their size and grow if you take them out of their storage (which is probably acceptable in this RPG as this happens in the Zelda Valiant Comics and the Legend of Zelda cartoon).

I've seen RPGs where people would put on a full plate while they were taking a hike and suddenly decided to go fight a dragon. When I looked at their character sheets, all they had noted for item storage was their magnificent beltpouch of doom. How the hell would you fit a full plate armor in that? Even if it was a magic beltpouch of holding (extradimensional space ftw) one couldn't fit a suit of armor through the opening.

It is my humble request that people take this into consideration, especially if you consider your character to be a traveler. I know backpacks don't look cool, but imagine someone pulling out a 50 feet long rope from a beltpouch, now that looks stupid. It's okay if you don't have a lot of stuff, but someone who travels a lot should have some food and water on him and some handy stuff like rope and a knife
Morgath
Ok, your right with this all, the Admins should think over this.
Raeden
No. Players should think about it. This is free style RPG, common sense is the main rule. Admins shouldn't have to make rules for every little thing you do. If they start working out a load/carrying capacity system they should work out weapon proficiencies, combat systems, traveltime, spells, and everything. It would be easier to just play D&D 3.5 online if it is a crunchy RPG (with lot's of rules instead of "fluffy" story elements) you want tounge.gif
Lana
Lana puts stuff somewhere else. Take a geuss where. Here's a hint: It's somewhere on her upper body. But yeah, I only have my glasses, a pencil, a novel, and a camera cleaning kit. But I have at least five pouches, I don't remember. But yeah, when I RP, one thing I always think about when storing stuff. The laws of Physics.

And my Grapple hook, is inserted through one of Lana's belt loops or whatever they're called.

Her nose? tounge.gif
Garcellus
Lana, I'm gonna guess EBIL POCKECTS OF DOOM!!! That's where Garc stores his crap. And also about the physics thing (I can't quote because these stupid school computers suck) I just made it where Linning (Garc's Alchemist/ Magician NPC friend) cast a spell so they're un physics.
Bella
I really dont have much to put in any pouches anyway. I got a knife in the boots. Some provisions, and other assortments of crap in her bag. Her own seperate bags for her spell components and rupee's what hang at her waist.
Nibaw Romani
Nibaw uses hidden pouches in his clothing to hide his shuriken, and he uses a kitbag to hold anything else he needs on him. More bulky things he tends to keep at his home in Hyrule, and ship if he needs them with him. Stuff like armour he'll wear, of course.
Kure
Got a backpack smile.gif

If people wouldn't be able to store everything in pouches in real life, how would I fit stuff in my nose?

A girl didn't even get it? Okay here's a clue. *Points to chest*
Ranuu
Ugh... you need to do a better job at cross-gender roleplaying, Zacko. It's kind of creepy. tounge.gif
Lana
Sorry, Ranuu. I'm pretty good at cross-gender roleplaying, I just didn't think about what people would think about. xD. I hope that doesn't stick in your poor mind.
Blank
Got you there Ranuu wink.gif
Morgath
All at the beginning of this topic ''i'' said that the asmins should think about it..... The point is: I didn't say that. So, either it's Cruor, cause he knows my passw (wich i am now going to change anyway), or i was hacked. Cruor, if it was you, please say so.
Muka
anyway, i think it is a good idea that he came up with.

i also would say that its not bad, depending on the amount/type of stuff you put in them

take this into concideration as well please biggrin.gif
Cruor
Sorry Morgath, but he automatically logged into your account after you used it here for the last time. I forgot to log out, and so a demonish post was bron.
Morgath
Ok. Why the hell does your computer automatically log into my account when you start up ZF?! I mean, just because i told you my passw when you had to look out for replies on my app (wich was quite a while ago), doesn't mean yo can go on my account every time you feel like doing so!
Cruor
You were logged in onto Morgath the last time you where on ZF. You know, when we were making your app at my place. When I started up the pc the next day, it automatically logged in into Morgath.
Morgath
Ah, whatever, let's not start a fight. I don't care much anymore, since i changed my passw.
