What kind of weather does Hyrule get about this time of year anyway? Do they get snow or is it snowless year round? Just wanted to ask for help with RPG thinking-ness. biggrin.gif

Rave
I'd say it's fall. Since we're using the GMT +1 time zone.
Mostly.
Sayon and Wyiet
Okay. Thanks.
Arsenic
When winter comes, will it snow? Cause I heard somewhere that it doesn't snow in Hyrule.
Atake
It'll snow in Snowhead, at least. I'm not sure about the other parts.

Well basicly, in game it's always summer... So we don't know.
But according to the laws of the planet winter time means cold in most countries (something with the degree the earth is turned at at that moment in time, and the sun... I'm not an expert). And in some countries it will also bring snow. We shall asume that it snows in Hyrule sometimes when it's winter.

I think maybe we should re-open an old weather forecast idea for this...

I say make it more monthly than a weekly thing if your going to make one.
Hiro Takari
Maybe at the beginning of the day or week the admins should put at the top of the forum or somewhere else what the weather of the day is, though it could be messed up with timezones... I confused myself =P
Sayon and Wyiet
Not everyday or weekly. That'd be too much work, especially with the fact that it can't rain in the desert, it can have extreme heat in snowhead, ect. Just maybe the admins can post somewhere once a month the weather for most normal places. Like, it'd be snowing in December. Members would just has logic and say that it wouldn't snow in the desert, ect.
Hiro Takari
Lol hadn't thought of that.
Aure
We wouldn't have to stick to general climate patterns of course - we can make it 30 degrees in December, no worries =) In fact, in the Southern Hemisphere, it usually gets that temperature in December, seeing as how it is summer there in December. I've celebrated Christmas in a T-shirt there, good fun.

Anyway, a weather forecast for "general areas" might be an idea, although it remains to be seen how much people will actually use it.
Sayon and Wyiet
I just don't want to mess other people's posts up becuase of something like the weather. Like, let's say the person before I post doesn't actually say the weather and I want it to snow, but I'm not sure if thet would mess that person up.
Hiro Takari
Do you mean in Celcius or Farenheit? I'm guessing Celcius. 30 degrees here does usually happen in December but it's freezing! [rant] I hate the people in this country who are so freaking stubborn to get with the program and change our measurement systems![/rant]
Arsenic
The metric system does make a whole lot more sense that whatever ours is called. People just aren't willing to make that change yet, though.
Hiro Takari
It's called the "customary system" or some stupid thing like that.
Aure
Again, off-topic people. It doesn't matter whether it's degrees F or C (heck, we'll do both if we have to), it matters whether there actually should be a weather forecasting system or not.
Thorn
The Ritos should do the forecasting. After all, they are always up there in the sky...
Mira and Kria
Ther should be a weather forecast. It shall help people tie it into thier posts.
Atake
Hay thar! I can write a script that will generate the weather forecast automatically!

I'll talk it over with Aure and then I'll write it. It'll be up in about one month, maybe even sooner if I'm feeling enthusiastic.
